So, be sure to enter to win one the great prizes. In closing I will give you an excerpt from I Loved You First, more information on Reena and where you can purchase her great book.

Motorcycle magazine in hand, I flopped on Seth’s bed.

My position gave me a direct line of sight to my friend in his bathroom. Every student received their own personal suite with a private bath, small living room, and miniature kitchen which included a microwave and fridge. No stove. Administration didn’t trust young college students not to burn down the dorm. Campus living—one of the many perks of attending Van Buren University.

I set the magazine aside and shook my head at Seth’s primping. “I don’t know why you do this to yourself.”

“Like I have a choice.” He raked a comb through his hair, giving the reflection in the mirror his full concentration. He always avoided gels, leaving his hair baby soft. On rare occasions, I ruffled my fingers through the silky strands. I’d always pretended like it was in play, but really I just loved the texture.

“I don’t have time for this.” He slammed the comb down and tousled his hair, substituting the neat and tidy look for unkempt bad boy and turned to me. “How’s this?”

I pinched my chin, going for serious. Black loafers—nice. Tight black jeans—oh, double nice! Blue shirt which contrasted perfectly with his eyes. The effect had me saying nom nom nom inside. I shrugged. “It’s okay, I guess.”

I LOVED YOU FIRST is a new adult love story told through the eyes of Alex, an African-American/Caucasian student, who takes a journey of self-discovery while watching her best friend come to terms with his sexuality.

To answer the question: I've never pretended to like someone who I didn't. I can't lie, because people can see it in my face immediately xD

I tend to be nonchalant in general when it comes to guys (at least when I was dating). I don't think I've ever feigned disinterested in a guy I "like-liked." I love that term "like-like". It's so high school! :)

Yes, because I knew that they Like Liked someone else so I didn't want to admit to them that I liked them as more than a friend. Didn't regret it because I ended up with a better guy later!

I have put on a nice face for people before. The only draw back with some is that I end up thinking I wasted being nice on them.

The thing with unrequited love is no one wants to get hurt. Just admitting you have a "thing" for someone puts you on the line. For me, it's easier to play it cool. Sometimes I wonder how much I've missed out because I didn't want to show my attraction for fear of getting rejected.

I'm pretty laid back so it takes a lot for me not to like someone. I have never pretended to like someone I didn't though because I've never been put into a position where I had to. Interesting question! ;D

Honestly, I'm not really comfortable with talking about liking liking someone. I don't lie, I don't even pretend, I just try to keep it as personal as possible, :)

I don't know if I've 'pretended' to like someone...perhaps if it's at a large event I have so noone is uncomfortable but it takes a lot for me not to like someone. I try to give everyone a chance or two.

Yes, my friend really liked a guy (her ex) and he showed interest in me. I pretended not to be interested to save my friendship. If I would have know the outcome, I would have gone for him.

I don't hang out with people I don't like, so I've never had to deal with it, hehe

I've had to before in many work situations unfortunately. Co-workers can be vicious, not to mention backstabbing! It was better for me to pretend I was ok with them than start an all-out war by saying what I really wanted to say.

I've never pretended to like someone who I really didn't because I hate to be a liar!

It's neat how personality affects they way we relate to others and how we behave in different circumstances. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a bundle for featuring me on your blog, Ben! XOXOX
